Welcome to the Crew! 🛥️

Now that you’ve joined the Solent Powerboat Club, here is a handy quick-start guide to help you get involved, stay connected, and get out on the water.

1. Managing Your Membership (Membermojo)

While we use WhatsApp for general club information, your official membership data is handled securely through a system called Membermojo.

Only committee members can view this data. It is vital to keep this updated so we can contact you or your emergency contact if an issue arises. You can update your email, phone numbers, boat details, photo of your boat and emergency contacts at any time.

How to log in:

  • Step 1: Go to the official club website and click on the Members Area.

  • Step 2: Enter the club members' password (sent to you separately; this changes every season).

  • Step 3: Click on Membership Details.

  • Step 4: If it is your first time, create your own private password.

  • Step 5: Log in to view, check, and amend your personal details.

Please note that the information in the website under the section of Members Boats is updated from information in Membermojo. If you do not update Membermojo your details will not be updated on the website.

2. Our WhatsApp Groups

We use two distinct WhatsApp groups to keep everyone connected without overwhelming your phone. The primary member who signed up is added automatically.

  • Want to add your crew? Just drop a message into the WhatsApp Banter group, and a committee member will add your partner or co-captain.

📢 WhatsApp Info

  • Purpose: Official announcements directly from the committee.

  • Content: Upcoming events, cruise updates, and vital club news.

  • Rule: This is a broadcast-only group to keep important information from getting buried.

💬 WhatsApp Banter

  • Purpose: The social hub of the club.

  • Content: Sharing event photos, asking for marina recommendations, seeking mechanical advice, or general chat.

  • Rule: Keep it friendly. We strictly ask that all posts remain completely free of political, racial, or otherwise inappropriate content.

We also use WhatsApp to provide information on each rally, if you have enrolled for a rally then you will be included on the specific rally WhatsApp group to keep you informed on the activities for that rally.

3. What’s Next?
